CAMDEN, NJ – Superstars Adam Sandler and LeBron James are all set to take their Netflix ‘Hustle’ to Camden. While filming has taken place in Philadelphia, The New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission has confirmed that the movie will film in August and September.
We all know how big of a deal LeBron is to basketball, but what you may not know is how good Adam Sandler is. While he is humble about how unimpressive he was in high school, you can find many clips online where he joins random pick-up games and wows everyone there. So a basketball-centric movie for the Uncut Gems Superstar was inevitable.
‘Hustle’ is about a basketball scout who’s fallen on hard times but meets a young player who could turn everything around. Sandler takes the player to the states, despite his past, in hopes of taking him all the way to the NBA. The screenplay was penned by Taylor Materne and Oscar nominee Will Fetters and stars Sandler, Queen Latifah, Robert Duvall, Ben Foster, and directed by Jeremiah Zagar.
Sandler has had a long-standing production deal with Netflix and will produce the movie under his Happy Maddison banner with LeBron James’ The SpringHill Company and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films
