Indian King Tavern Museum
About Indian King Tavern Museum:
The Indian King Tavern Museum is more than 200-years-old, nestled on Kings Highway, the main street of historic Haddonfield, New Jersey. The tavern is where New Jersey completed its transition from colony to state, and is New Jersey’s first state-owned historic site. On the second-floor meeting room, laws were revised for election procedures, township governments were created and state courts were passed. The Indian King Tavern Museum offers free tours and history lessons, and hosts special holiday events and lectures including food and beer tastings to recreate how things were done in the 1700’s.
