The Ritz Theatre Company
About The Ritz Theatre Company:
The Ritz Theatre Company originally opened as a vaudeville movie house in 1927, and has been engaging and enriching the Delaware Valley by producing professional, diverse entertainment while training artists of all levels for over 30 years. Managed by staff and supported by a dedicated volunteer base, loyal subscribers, and generous sponsors and donors, the Ritz remains a gem in the community. Each season, the theatre offers six mainstage productions, eight children’s productions, an all-kids production, a young adult production, a summer theatre camp and festival, holiday performances, special events, classes, dramatic workshops, and outreach programs. The Ritz serves more than 40,000 patrons each year, and is located at 915 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township in Southern New Jersey. The theatre is considered a historic New Jersey landmark, and has been added the National Register of Historic Places. It is the only theater in the area still resplendent in its original decor. The architecture is Greek revival with 25-foot-high neo-classical canvas murals on the auditorium walls, gilt-trimmed columns, and classic carved balustrades.
