The sandy soil from South Jersey’s beaches mixed with notoriously hot summers provides the ideal environment for European, American, and hybrid grape species to thrive. This makes South Jersey a unique, and desirable place for winemaking. In addition, independent wineries and breweries have more freedom to experiment, which in turn provides customers with more opportunities to try flavors, blends, and styles they’ve never experienced before.
